Lost on how to connect it up
1929 Chev Coach 6
Does anyone have any pictures or good script on what the gas
pedal linkage to carb looks like and how it connects to the
accelerator pump? All I remember was the spring connects to the exhaust pipe bolt. My son says car will not work right without gas pedal, he refuses to take orders on how much to push on carb lever while under the hood with a family radio..

What year vehicle????

If you have an early six-cylinder with an updraft carburetor, the accelerator return spring connects to the front exhaust manifold stud on one end and to the accelerator pedal rod and throttle arm of the carburetor on the other.

I have no idea what was between the carb and the gas pedal
or how the choke cable connects. All parts lost, i have to make something up.

Thanks Jack, brilliant on his site he also shows a pic of the carb
http://1931chevrolet.com/carb1931.jpg as I recall the accelerator pump gets activated by the pedal as well. The pic does not go right enough to show how this was connected. Any ideas? I built the pedal already but I have nothing proper to connect it to.

1929-1931 chevrolets do not have an accelerator Pedal, the accelerator rod goes from the carburetor throttle lever, all the way through the floor, and the button end is what you push your foot on.

The accelerator rod and button has a 90 deg. bend on the carburetor end which connects to the throttle level on the engine side of the carburetor. It also operates the accelerator pump on the side of the carb.
