In my parts car ('34 Master Sport Sedan), there is a metallic socket mounted above each front door. The bezel is similar to that of the sun visor brackets. The bezel is oval, approximately 1.5 x 0.5 inches and the hole is about 1/8". What purpose did these serve?
Also did all '34 Master have a bracket at both ends of the sun visors?

The socket is for mounting the sun visor to the side - such as a low sun glare coming in from the side of the car.Newer cars have a friction type swivel that will keep it positioned when visor is lowered to the front or side. They all had the bracket on both ends of the visor....The US cars had only a left visor, right side optional.

Thanks Chev Gene. I sort of suspected that, but I wasn't sure.
