I just purchased an NOS speedometer for my 33.Should I lubricate it before installing it?If so,where do I lube it and with what kind of lube?Thanks in advance.

Only a light oil, like clock oil or similar should be used. Some use WD-40 (fish oil). And no matter what oil you choose apply sparingly.

Actually WD-40 is a very poor speedo lube.
A light machine oil is better.
Unless you know how to completely disassemble and reassemble the speedo, I wouldn't do it.

I have a clock repair business. It's not uncommon that I receive clocks that the owner tried to fix. I would highly recommend you send it to somebody who knows what they are doing. And no, I don't repair speedometers. Speedometers are probably similar to clocks in that some parts need oil, some parts need grease and some parts should not have ANY oil or grease.
