Mikael-Did you recieve my reply on Jan. 11 ???

The Standard 4 door was made in 1934 and 1935.
The 1934 4 door came out in October of 1934, they made 11,840 of them.It was a 1934 frame , engine, etc. with the 1935 style body. The 2 door 1934 Standard also recieved the new body at that time.It was a little longer in the rear area and did not have a seperate gas tank filler panel at the rear. The rear body panel was all in one piece. Also the cowl vent opened from the front. The early 1934 Standard cowl vent opened from the rear.

In 1935 the same body was used but the new frame has the X in the center, the car had larger brakes and uses the larger Master motor with the water pump mounted into the block. The 1934 Standard (and 1933) had the water pump mounted into the head.

Colors available for the 1935 Standard were dark blue, dark green, tan, gray, maroon, and black.Various wheel colors could be had.

Hope this helps chevy

If you will tell me what color you want, I can tell you which modern car uses a color VERY close to the original. Plus I can tell you what color
wheels and pinstripes were used with your color.

What country was your car manufactured in Mikael? If it originally came Dark Blue with Black fenders the chances are it was a Canadian car. If so, what is the paint code? As far as I know the US built 35 Standards came all one colour.

If the car is Canadian it will say in 2 places for sure. One on the lower right cowl it says Fisher-Canada. US cars say Fisher. Also, on the firewall. That tag will say GM of Canada & have vin number, paint, trim, eng number & body number if it's like my 34sd.....joe

Isn't the "vin number" on the cowl plate actually the Job Number? laugh laugh laugh

Mikael, the Canadian cars that were made for sale in Canada have a number of differences.

The dash board was woodgrained over the whole surface with black highlight on the oval around the gauges and other areas. US models were only woodgrained in the oval area around the gauges. The Canadian models also had a voltage regulator on the firewall above the steering box instead of a cutout on top of the generator. Canadian models also had thrust washers for the spider and side/axle gears in the differential. US models didn't have these thrust washers unfortunately.

Canadian cars had various colour lacquer paint on the body, and black enamel on the fenders of Standard Regular models. There were also a Standard Deluxe sedan that had body colour fenders and probably had some accessories such as dual wipers factory installed.

I have never seen a Standard Deluxe but have seen '35 Master Regular and Master Deluxe models. The Master Deluxe had 16 inch wheels instead of 17, nice cloth upholstery instead of mohair plus added accessories.

Similar models were available in 1936 but were called Regular and Special instead of Regular and Deluxe.

It is possible Canadian models made for export may be different than those for sale in Canada but I have no information regarding that. Hope this helps.......David

The parts book list 9 colors for 1935 Fisher bodied Chevrolets made in USA. Three of these colors are dark blue. .
. You might want to look at the chip book at http://la.znet.com/~c1937/paint.htm to see which dark blue was yours.
