I could use a pointer on how to get the slip sleeve with O-Ring (back half of U-Joint case) on the drive shaft enclosure? I'm using the O-Ring provided in transmission gasket kit from the Filling Station and it is inserted between the two metal washers inside the U-Joint case. I have lubricated it well and tried to start one side, pull down and push it on, tap it on and twist it on....? I must be missing something... Regards, Maxie.

You need to clean the torque tube very clean for the first several inches. Once the tube is cleaned and the "O" ring lubricated it will go on. It must be a tight fit to stop the flow of oil.
