I was washing my wifes car at 6:00 this morning and I kept hearing a pop-pop sound but couldn't see anything. All of a sudden there was what sounded like a small explosion. The house next to mine has a monstrous tree in the yard and it fell right on top of the house and almost split it in two.One very large limb fell into my yard and stopped 6 inches from the roof of my '33 coupe.Lucky the house next door had a sturdy shed which stopped this limb from crushing my car. Also fortunately the house was vacant and there were no injuries.Somebody above was watching over me today !!!

If I was you I'd go and kiss your '33, Then thank the man upstairs for watching over you and your '33.

HELLO!....Do you think for a minute that The "Man".."Woman" or whoever..Pick One "upstairs".....Gives (As Charlie would say) A "HOOT" about your car or house, or for that matter YOU.

If you do then you better wake up and smell the coffee.
Things happen in life ...some good & some bad.

When you were born and whoever delivered you and hit you on the posterior to wake you up to reality, Nobody promised you this life would be easy....Roll with it and don't live under big old tree's or on earthquake faults......ED

I was only wrong one time in my life so far. But that time I was right, and only thought I was wrong....ED

Thanks for that heartwarming response. It's good to know when you need a shoulder to lean on there are people like you we can count on.I wasn't aware I couldn't live near trees as it is a possible health risk.My wife recently underwent cancer surgery.I guess the answer to that would be,don't drink water from plastic bottles, don't go outside during the day and be exposed to the uv rays from the sun, don't breathe second hand smoke, don't breathe pollutants in the air,eat only organically grown food? Thanks for all the encouragement and that warm fuzzy feeling! As for all the rest of the well wishers,I TRULY THANK YOU ALL.Sincerely,Mike

Mike:

I am with you and would have thanked Him for sparing you and your car were I you.

I prey He will also be with your wife as she continues her battle. I know what you and your wife are going through. As a ten-year survivor of cancer, I thank Him everyday for granting me 10 more years with my wife and family; and for letting me be born in a nation with the best health-care system in the world and for giving me a wonderful surgeon. I know someday He will call me home, but I feel blessed He did not do it 10 years ago.

I would ignore Ed1938. If you read some of his other posts on these Forums you may conclude he is probably one unhappy man. I think the rest of the responses to your post are a better reflection of this club.

A great story, thanks for sharing it with us, and the best to your wife.

David
