Hello everyone,
Very happy to have found your group as I am working on a frame up 29' restoration. Anyway, what type, brand, ect of grease does anyone recommend for the grease cups on a 29' chevy. I have lubriplate waterpump grease in the waterpump I purchased from the "Filling Station" Thanks

The Lubriplate water pump grease is correct for the water pump. If you mean the grease cups on the rear axle, I use normal wheel bearing grease. If you mean the one on the distributor, it's regular chassis grease. For all the Alemite (pin-type grease) fittings, regular chassis grease, except for the steering gear, which uses 600W gear oil. If you mean the grease cup behind the wheel of my cars, I use Sam Adams (not while driving of course).

All the Best, Chip

Regarding the grease cup for the distributor, you can also use a multi-purpose white smooth grease instead of chassis grease. The multi-purpose grease is made by Sta-Lube and it is made for the lubrication of distributor shafts and other related components.
