What is the sequence to install the fender skirts on a '54 Belaire.

if they are factory skirts first hook the rear of the skirt into the loop on the fender opening leaving the front of the skirt hang down. The slip the front of the skirt up into the opening while having the locking lever down. When skirt is in place move the locking lever up and guide the short end of the lever into the loop on the front of wheel opening. When all is in place swing the lever up and catch end inside of the flange on the bottom of the skirt.

If your car never had skirts, it will not have the hoops. They can be purchased from the F.S. or chevys of the 40s.

He said it is a Bel Air so it would have skirts from the factory
