Well I went modern and bought an original unmolested 83 Camero. The flex cables for the rear window defogger are burned and broken. These are at the bottom connection on the lid lift pistons. Is there a kit to fix these and where would I purchase them. Also the paint on the rally wheels is gone, what color were they ? I'm on a learning curve so thanks for any help.

Chances are you purchased a Camaro not a Camero.

They used to make some sort of repair kit for defoggers from NAPA or some of the other parts stores

What wheels does the car have? If they were style steel wheels like the S-10s then they are probably argent silver & black which you could purchase from the Filling Station. You might want to look at some pictures of 83 Camaros on the internet to see if you see your wheels....Joe
