Does anyone reproduce the spherical shaped brake shaft bushings (four of them) that are sandwiched between the two riveted plates? I searched this forum, The Filling Station and Gary Wallace without any luck...

Thanks,
Jeff

Down here in Aus. someone has made Nylon versions of them, if you can't find any I can make some inquiries to see if they're still available.

Thanks Chris!

As a last resort I can have them made. I have a friend at a machine shop and for a few beers he will help me out.

Hi Guys,

As I recall, well over 20 years ago I made mine out of a straight bronze bush. I got the angle right, and bored each plate so I press in the straight bush. Have had no problem since.

Cheers

Ray

Some say "Street is neat". I prefer "1928 is great"

I have documented my 45 years with a 1928 Chev Tourer, from 1973 to 2018, and regulary add other items that I hope are of interest to others. Your comments are most welcome. The story of the Red Chev can be viewed at http://my28chev.blogspot.com/

I seem to recall a thread on this topic some time ago - possibly Arvid, I shall have a look - I replaced the bushes on my 28 one ton with Nylon but didn't like the karma so had some bronze 1 inch ID bushes machined down. I'm surprised someone like Billy Possum hasn't gone into production.
