When I drive my 33 master at night, with all the lights on,my amp gauge normally reads "0" to a very minimal discharge.Every now and then the gauge jumps back and forth from the discharge side back to "0" which makes my lights pulsate. What would cause this to happen and should I have concerns that something could be damaged when this happens?

You could have a loose connection that is making and making contact with the headlights. Do you have a floor mounted dimmer switch? I don't think this is a good situation.

With the guage intermitantly going further discharge and lights dimming I think you have a short to ground, possibly wiring harness worn at a holding clip or where it bends around a body part. If the guage only does it with headlights on high or low beam the section of harness to check is considerably shorter.
