Coming back to the cam shaft gear removal, After soaking the gear for several weeks, me and a friend started on the gear removal, I had my friend hold the cam gear with both hands close to the thrust plate with the cam shaft between his knee's, I took a brass punch just smaller than the diameter of the shaft and placed it on the end of the cam shaft, with medium hit's with the hammer the shaft started to move, kept repeating the process until shaft was free from the gear, without any damage to the fiber gear or the end of the shaft, was a slow process about 30 min before shaft was free.
I hope this will help out those who have tried other way's to remove this gear without any luck.
