Can anyone tell me where on a '46-8 passenger frame the VIN/serial number might be stamped? I've heard both that they are and they are not stamped on the frame. I've looked on the '47 frame I have and can't find anything. Thanks

As far as I know there are no serial numbers stamped on the frame. And, the fact that you can't find a serial number on your frame helps to confirm that there isn't a serial number stamped on the frame.

It has been suggested that the serial number was not stamped on the frame until 1955?

This applied in Canada save for wartime military trucks and save for certain cars assembled overseas.
