Thats a fine looking 48, but it needs some curb feelers.

here are some curb feelers but you might not be able to see them, I'm not good at picture posting. I been thinking of taking those and the visor off.

Sure is a mighty purty 41 Ken!! Gots to agree with you on that, curb feelers and visor both off. Personal opinion here but some cars don't look as good as others with the visor on. I think it's just the style that denotes what would be correct along with the colour. Love those business coupe's!!

Have to agree with you. When I bought my 48 Fleetmaster Town sedan she had both curb feelers and the chrome eyebrows for the headlights installed. First thing I did to the car was to take this stuff off. She looks a lot more elegant now.

I feel the same way I've had the car about 5 yrs and have been wanting to take that stuff off but my wife says it looks better on, but I think they are coming off soon. If I can I'll
try to post a picture.

Females are taught that anything can be improved by adding something else. I don't know why the way things were originally created is not acceptable but, do know that there are plenty of people who will exchange $$$ for bobbles and cover-ups and then tell them how much better it looks.

I believe the owner should do to his or her vehicle what thet like to make it theirs. Every vehicle I have owned I have done something to it to make it mine. I like skirts on the 41-48 model cars. I would put them on a car of that age if I had one. I would not put a visor on any car I owned. It is a personal preference thing.

Hi Jim,

I didn't realize you had a '48. GREAT looking car!! I think the sun visor looks terrific. Especially good in that era. But it's all individual preference(s). For instance, I can definitely do without curbfeelers.

Probably good there were accessories. So each can have it their own way. Twould be a boring world if only ice cream flavor was vanilla....

AMEN! I think the car looks GREAT! The visor certainly exemplifies the era and I love the fender skirts. I put curb feelers on my convertible as sort of a novelty and have to say that I get more interest in them, "What are those?", than most other features of the car.

We need to respect a little individuality, no chopped tops or Camaro clips, but a "cookie cutter" world would be pretty boring.
