Good day!

I have a '41 business coupe that I will be converting to a more family friendly 4 passenger coupe. Does anyone know if the 41 chev sedan rear seat is the same as the coupe?

Thanks!

I am going to be that guy, and revive a 10 year old thread haha!

I am in the process of planning my build and I would like to add a backseat to my 41 Business Coupe. If anyone has done this, what donor seat did you use? Any tips or tricks? Thanks!

the 41 business coupe has a few differences then the 4 pass cpe, the main one is the placemant of the fuel tank which in the bus.cpe is under the raised rear floor vs under the body of the 4pass, so you would have to modify that so the seat would fit correctly, as well as the safty factor of sitting on top of the fuel tank, the rear seat is also different then the sedans, the 4 pass, also has armrests which configure to the back seat as well, then there are the brackets that hold the seat in place, as well as the spacer that fits under the front of the seat seat. although nothing is impossibal the job will entail more the just placing the seat in the car. suggest you compare if possible both cars and their differences. hope this helps.dlz

I probably should have added more details haha.

I have relocated the fuel tank to the trunk area and got that in, I moved the filler to the rear quarter. I have a box templated out to add some structure to where I think the rear seat fits best. I am welding in a panel this weekend that will separate the trunk and the rear seat, as well as adding a package tray area for my speakers and such. I was just hoping someone has done this before and had a seat that they used with little modification and had success. I'm sure this will take a ton of fab but I wanted to do my due diligence first.
