Hi cruzin_36,

According to my parts book the master cylinder part number 1074906 fits both the FA (Master De Luxe w/knee action) and the FD (Master De Luxe wo/knee action).

The "knee-action" has nothing to do with the master cylinder. The Master DeLuxe uses a different M/C than a Standard. The Master DeLuxe had knee-action in all but about 600 cars that were built with straight axles-but both used the same M/C.
The Master DeLuxe with knee-action is an FA.with straight axle is a FD.The Standard is an FC........The difference between the Master DeLuxe M/C and the Standard is the mounting bolt pattern.Comparing your original unit with the new one will varify if it is correct.

The FA & FD M/C part number is 5450588--casting number 5450589.....The FC is part number 5450257 and cast number 5450256.These numbers apply only to Genuine Chevrolet Delco brand units.Other brands will use a different number.
