I have a 54 Chevrolet 2 door that needs a headliner. Is there a source for the tack strip that goes, on the roof body section, in front and across the top of the door. The windlace is tacked to that strip. The original material was some kind of pressed paper or fiber. It was about 1/2" x 1/4" x 4'. Is a tack strip available that is NOT plastic. Thanks, LC

i have many times used wood.you cut to the dimension then it will usually bend to most contours. if you must go ver too much curve then cut in short sectins and add some screws.been a trimmer for 46 years.good luck

No. The man that is doing the headliner says he is going to make his own, out of pressed cardboard. All we could find is the plastic. Thanks, LC

check out http://www.restorationspecialties.com/ page 109 in their online catalog. I hope this does not violate any restrictions, if so, sorry and delete.

Thanks for posting the link to the restoration company. That was entirely appropriate for our site. As long as you aren't promoting the sale of tennis shoes, wallets or belts (like a recent posting), then it's all in support of the hobby.

Thanks again. wow
