You need to look through the 1929 to 1954 parts & accessories catalog to compare part numbers.

I would say yes, there was next to no change in the blocks, manifolds, and linkage set up. As suggested a check of the parts book would confimr this.

I swapped a '54 PG 235 engine into my '50 StyleLine and the linkage did not need to be changed.

When I put the 54-235 in my 51 I had to move the linkage from the middle of the block towards the back of the block.

When I swapped a '54 235 into my 51, I had some minor issues with the pivot to carb linkage. Had to tweak that a little as I kept the manual choke 51 Rochester carb. Also had to adjust the accel pedal to block rod length by turning fitting. It's a little short but it works.
