My coupe was built in late Jan. '28 so from what I understand, the steel disc wheels should be painted Dunsmuir Gray. Currently the wheels are a pea soup green color, is this Dunsmuir Gray?

The paint on the body is still original, Faunce Green I assume, but the wheels and interior trim pieces are the pea soup color. Just want to make sure because I want to return it back to the original paint scheme.

Thanks,
Jeff

Don't know about what peas you use but well cooked pea soup has a similar color. Sorta like a dark olive drab but a bit more tan tint.

Chipper, thanks for your response. So Dunsmuir Gray is not gray but actually a green?

That is what I wanted to know...I plan to go to my local paint store this weekend for them to mix up a quart of Dunsmuir Gray!

Thanks,
Jeff

I would call it a tan not green but, my wife tells me I can't tell gray from green so am not a reliable authority on those colors. I can tell red from black, green and yellow so not completely worthless.

Dunsmuir Gray is a US colour and was the colour used for wheels on cars that came from the Jamistown? (not sure about spelling) factory and I would class the colour as "Caterpillar guts green" My coach came from Jamistown factory and lived in St.Paul Minneapolis and had Dunsmuir Gray wheels. And BTW the pinstripe is black.
Funny about the names of Chev colours as I also own an original unrestored 34 Master sedan which is two tone green and according to the colour charts both are listed as grey.
I believe all other factories used the browny colour with orange pin stripe which Chip mentioned, except for the convertible cabriolets which were Romany Red.
