I really needed that compass. All I do is ride around this subdivision or cruise this little tiny town. I wonder if I could get On-Star....hehe

$184...Sirus Radio plus Nav
$!64..On-Star

Times two

I don't think I really need another On-Star, just kidding. This old cheap compass will just have to show me the way.

Disclaimer: The following contains yapping. Read at your own risk.

Steve,
Having a compass is not the point. Having a nice one that was an accessory for the car and year is. Well, it is for me, anyway.

I know I'm gonna catch some flack for the above statements but so be it. I don't have one myself owing the the cost. So, I feel your pain. Nonetheless, and as for me, rather than mount a non-original type, I'll just skip it. dance
Charlie computer

BTW: I thought about magnetizing a needle, float it in a glass of water and mount it on the dash but I don't see how to get around the slosh effect when braking or accelerating. Of course, I'd mark the glass "GM" to fool folk when passing through Tennessee. You know. GRIN

BTW2: I'll have to admit that your compass does look right good. luv2

Sorta like my horns, tires, alternator, compass, halogen lights, engine and upholstry and paint. I'm a LONG way from being 1938 orginal parts.

It just has to "LOOK" mostly orginal. I try to keep the general apperance of a stock 38 chevy coupe.

P.S. You can't fool us Tennessee boys about a decal either. If I paid 20 times the price I could have gotten the real deal...grin
