Hello all, I have a new( never been used) locking door handle w/ lock cylinder and key for my 36 pickup( came w/ the truck)but what holds the cylinder in the handle? the cylinder fits in the handle but falls right back out. There has to be something that holds it in. Anybody help? Thanks, Richard

Hi Richard,
I am not sure what you have but I have a breakdown drawing of the handle and lock. send me a PM with your email address and I will send it to you. And by the way I am looking for this unit for my truck so If you don't need it let me know.
Charlie

I have the instructions for '37 trucks and I see that '36 and '37 use the same cylinder so I'm concluding they are the same. For removing lock cylinder it says "Drive out small retaining pin at lower end of handle shank and draw out cylinder" Assembling lock cylinder--"Insert anti rattle spring in handle. Place bolt in slot of shank, and insert lock cylinder. Engage cylinder and bolt.Fasten with pin.Peen pin in place and remove burrs." Hope this is of some help. Neil (Canada)
have a nice day

Richard, New unused handle? New, as in new, new? Or new as in N.O.S? If new, new, Who knows? If N.O.S previous instructions should apply.
chevy36, My pm'd question to you has been answered. I'll take a look.
