I've seen lots of discussion about coolant recovery / overflow tanks for car, just wondering how common it was to install one on a pick-up? These are some pictures of local '46 Chevrolet Pickup that is untouched (original) and still gets used a few times a week by the original owner. Thanks Don

Any ideas if this is correct for a truck or is it a car item. The owner told me that it was on the truck when he bought it new. Told me he would have never spent all that money to replace his '40 pickup but wanted the 4 speed transmission to pull wagons out of the fields on his farm.

Don, here is a link to another site that has info about 41-46 chevy trucks. The data shown in the link is from the "Chevrolet Truck Data Book for Chevrolet Dealers" for 1946.

Hope this helps

The tank Chevrolet sold could be used on cars or trucks.
