1) This appears to be a 216 with a full side cover. The block serial number is ADCA 383084. Is there any infomation that can be decoded from that number?
2) The member who owns the truck has what he thinks is a 1955 235 numbered 02I0782F55Z out of VIN# B55K028332. Is there any information that can be decoded from that number?
See you in Flint!

The ADCA indicates the engine was from a 1946 (late) 3/4, 1 or 1 1/2 ton truck. The engine serial numbers began with 1001 so this would be an early (late) 1946 truck. The late 1946 production began in May of 1946. The few trucks made between Oct. 1945 and May 1946 were the early 1946 models and they had no chrome and lacked the "improvements" made in the late series.
Will be back later with #2.

B = 210 series
55 = year
K = assembled in Kansas City.
028332 = production sequence number. Numbers began at 1001. That is a "high" number so would have been assembles late in the model year - July perhaps.
F55Z = 1955 6 cyl stick shift engine.
Sorry but you won't see me in flint imsorry mad

Thank you very much Chev Nut! Exactly what we were looking for!
Sorry to hear that you won't be in Flint.
We enjoyed seeing your 1950 in Grand Junction.
