I am currently restoring a 33 Master Eagle Deluxe Sedan. The car does not have a heater, however I noticed some holes in the firewall which look like the water hoses could have went through.
Was the heater standard issue on this car, or was it an option?

It was neither! The heater for 1933 was an "accessory" and it was installed by the Chevrolet dealer. laugh laugh laugh

Since Chevrolet did not make the cars with a heater, and all heaters were accessories, then the heaters put in the cars would probably be various makes and sizes. Is this correct?
If so, what was the most common type? (square, tombstone, or etc.)

Hi 33eagle (car assembled in the first 3+ months of 1933)

Of course you may install any heater you desire in your car, the accepted heater is described below. If you intend to submit your car for official VCCA judging this would be the only acceptable heater.

I have an undated “A Catalog of Genuine Chevrolet Accessories for 1933” that lists a Hot Water Heater for $9.95. Included with that catalog is an ORDER BLANK that lists Heater - Hot Water with a price of $9.95 and a part number of 364250.

Checking the; Master Parts Price List, for Six Cylinder Models, effective date February 15, 1933, I find listed under “Accessories and Special Equipment” a hot water heater w/attaching parts, price $9.95, and part number 364250.

Picture is from the catalog mentioned in the first paragraph.

Actually there are three heaters that were available for 1933 models. The one pictured by the AntiqueMechanic was a carry over from 1931-32. Later in the production two other heaters were introduced. They are all three pictured on the cover of the October 1933 Chevrolet Service News. I don't know when the other two were introduced but it was at least by October for them to appear in that months Service News (It took some time to take the photos and print the issue.)

Very true, however eagle33 has indicated he has an Eagle. Therefore, the other two heaters would not be technically correct.

Great info - I even have one of the pictured heaters for my 33 Master - one further question - does anyone know about the wiring for the fan on this heater - where would the switch mount and what kind of switch should I use - I want this correct for judging
