Is there an easier way to remove the tar paper patches on the inside of the body than chiseling them???

Thanks

I might try heating with hair dryer, being careful not to heat the paint too much on the other side if its good paint. I would think this would make it soft enough to scrape off then goof off or some othe chemical for the residue. Not too hot now.
