Of course they are never really finished but click the link below to see my '34 three window. I think it is about ready to go to Flint. The only visible changes will be the pinstripes. These are too wide and too bright. That's my mother-in-law, Dorothy (Cottle) Baumgartner in two of the pictures with the same car. The first picture was taken around 1942 and the other earlier this month.

Absolutely beautiful!!! Are you driving it or towing to Flint. Will you be coming through St. Louis? If so maybe you can hook up with us. We will be leaving Sat 7-23 driving 7 old Chevies and arriving sometime Sunday around noon.

We are going to be staying in O'Fallon Friday night with our son and his family and would love to tag along with you. What time are you leaving Saturday and where are you meeting to get started? Also, where are you staying Saturday night and do you already have motel reservations? Will most or all of you be driving? We will be pulling the '34 on a trailer.

Hi Jerry
Very nice, great job! I bet your mother in-law is very happy to see her all shined up and looking new again. Also I think you should put a photo and a link in the projects section so we can look at it every once in a while.
Once again very nice!!

Ab Buff

Thanks for the kind words. I would love it if my '34 had the colors and pinstripes as yours along with the whitewalls. But the plan has always been to restore it to how it was so I will have to be satisfied with that.

Well I think the color of yours is just wonderful, nothing better than a straight body with a dark color. The white walls are over rated.. they are kind of a pain to clean and keep clean...

[/quote If you are going to use an open trailer,I would strongly suggest removing the windshield wiper or wipers before doing so.I just towed my 33 on an open trailer and at 65-70 mph the wiper arm went above the windshield and scratched the paint on the roof.I'm glad I didn't get it painted yet!

Congrats Jerry! Sweet family car. Incentive for me to keep plugging. How do you spell Djell-ouss?

Best Regards, Pat
