Just finished installation of front windshield on my 38. The screws that came with the stainless divider that I got are too short. The machine bolt/screw is 10-32. The length of the ones I bought from a vender are 1 1/4 long. They appear way too long. The ones I had are about 1/8 too short and measure 1/2. Does anyone know what length I should be looking for?

I'm not able to get to the garage right now but if my memory serves me right there is about 3/4" of thread on them.

Here is my solution. The screws you have are fine. What you need to is to compress the stuff so that you can fit your screws. I bought long bolts of the same size, I think 2 inch, and a nut for each of the holes. Screwed them in with the nut already on the bolt and tightened the nut to pinch the inside plate so that I could compress the system. Left that over night. next day took one out and put the correct screw in, then took another out, replaced with the correct screw and so on.
