Hello, Did anyone ever come up with a part number for the air filter element that will fit inside my 1939 master deluxe air filter? The mesh has deteriorated in my oil bath air filter and I would love to put a pleated filter in it and only use the outer shell and the cover. Thanks again.

I took my housing to my FLAPS and mated it to a filter there.

Hello, WIX 46036 crosses to a carquest 88036 and that filter is 2 1/2" tall by 8 1/2" o.d. The 88036 is too short and to big in diameter. That must not be the number. Any chance somebody can look at what they might have on their car? Thank again.

The Wix 46036 is what I ended up with for my '38 BUT it may or may not be the same for the '39. Also I have the oil bath filter rather than the oil soaked copper gauze filter. If the requested filter housing is not the oil bath it may be different as well. The quickest way is take your housing to the parts house and match it up.
