On my '34 Master, should the inside surface of the hood and radiator shell be body color or black? It's been so long that I don't remember. Thanks, guys. Stu Allen

The under side of the hood was a medium dark gray color. The shell and the sheet metal behind the grille was black.

Thanks, Gene. Would the Filling Station engine paint color be close enough? Stu

I would try to find some thing with less gloss as the paint was some type of a water proff primer. Actually the primer under the factory paint on top of the hood was the same. The body (Fisher Body) had red primer. The engine paint is a little too dark and would look like you used engine paint under the hood as a mistake besides being to glossy.

Thanks, Gene. I'll look for something lighter with low gloss. Stu

Hi Gene,
So do you have any documentation on this being the case? And just as i asked this question I remember I had pictures of a 4000 mile 34 and your right.
So when your paint your hood, don't for get the over spray.
