I am missing the key to my original '33 Standard locking hub cap for the rear spare.
Here is my question to you '33 owners: Is the key used for this cap a Basco key or a Hurd key? If it is either, does it have a number on it?
Any help with this would be appreciated.
Garry.

I have a key code book for 1935 and it only lists Hurd keys for 1934 and 1935.
This doesn't completely answer your question but may help.

I should make this a little clearer. It only lists Hurd for 1934 and 1935 Chevrolet spare tire locks, not 1933 Chevrolet.

Thanks Joe and Neil. I was going to take the cap to a local lock smith and have them make a key for it. However, I would like to have a original blank to take with it but I didn't know what to look for. Now, I do. I never even considered that key being a Yale, Joe. Thanks to both of you for your help.
Cheers!

If the code is ch251-ch500 curtis y13 blank
If the code is ch501-ch750 curtis y14 blank
If the code is ch751-ch1000 curtis blank y12 or y9

You may know this but here it is anyway.

Thanks Neil. I wouldn't have a clue which code would be correct. Joe, are there any numbers with the "CH" code on your Junior key? If so, does it coincide with the codes that Neil provided?
