I have built alot of cars over the years but none this old.I havent worked on anything earlier than my 52 chevy so I am very excited to get started. I love to keep my vehicles as original as possible. I hate it when someone chops up a piece of my contries history. looking forward to picking you alls brains for some knowledge.

Tell us a bit as to the 3 cars all at once. There must be a story there. Also tell us the body styles. Looking forward to providing you any help needed.

Hi txhillbilly
Could not agree more with your feelings about chopping up pieces of automobile history. Dont get me started on Rat Rods.
Welcome to the site, best of luck, and keep us updated on your progress.
Cheers

Well monty I found these behind a old mans barn. He said he is getting too old to finish any of them so he sold them to me. I have 2 two door sedans and one Depot truck. It was like a gold mine behind his barn. I also bought 2 68 torinos, and 2 50 chevy 2 door post. And there is still more cars out there. Not too mention all the extra and new parts he gave me for the 28s. I am so excited to get started on them. Just need to find a place to get a wood kit for them.

Well Mr Mack I definately aint rich. The VA and Army dont pay that much. But they do pay me for being crazy, so that should explain why I bought three of them at once. The guy told me today he has another 28 at a friends farm and it is a laundau edition. I asked him what he wanted for it and he said that since I bought the other three without haggling he would just give it to me. God Bless Texans.

Welcome to Chat. If a fellow native Missourian can be of help, let me know. If you decide to add some '28 trucks to your fleet, I can help you there, also.

I will be rolling through Rolla in a few days on the way to Joplin. My Girlfriends Aunt is in the hospital. The Aunt lives near Granby. My daily driver 98 Caddy is in the shop and has been acting weird electrically so I told her I would get her down that way to see her Aunt one way or the other even if we had to drive the 28 coach to do it.
28 Chevy LO Capitol 1 ton, 28 National 2 dr coach, 71 Chevy Custom Camper 3/4 ton. Also 23 Oldsmobile Economy truck and a 24 Olds sport touring.

To update on the emergency trip, The Aunt is now in Houston at a specialists and right after they left, their house in Granby was hit by lightning and burned. Not sure how bad it is, but they live out in the midlle of nowhere and I doub't the Volunteer fire dept got there that quick. Talk about when it rains it pours. They are really good people and sure didn't deserve all this.
