I beleive thats an aftermarket item. Which means you probably wont find what your looking for inless someone by chance has something just like you do. Good luck though

The Phinney-Walker mirror clock with the bow tie is not an aftermarket item. That is a genuine Chevrolet accessory for 1932.

The diameter of the clear circle where the clock is mounted is approx. 2". However, you should be able to use the clock mechanism itself to determine the exact diameter of the clear circle that you will need for the clock face.

Yep, there were a lot of genuine Chevrolet accessories offered in 1932. However.....one of them isn't in the "books".

Yes, I have an several original Phinney-Walker clock mirrors and, as I posted above, the approx. size of the clear area is 2" (give or take 1/16th of an inch).

Hi guys,

sorry for reviving an old thread, but I decided to complete my mirror clock installation, and I still have the same questions:

1-Any of you can tell me the exact diameter of the clear part of the mirror? I want to know if that cover a part of the clock, of if it`s really flush with the clock`s body`s edge.

2-Also, the Accessorys manual tell that the mirror`s color is "gunmetal", but anyone know the color of the back of the mirror? I saw some black, gray.

3-And by chance, anyone know the exact thickness of this mirror?

4-Last one: I saw a mirror with a small groove to hold on the clock...is it something present in the `32 model?

Thank you

For my 1935 chevrolet standard coupe i had the stem wind clock overhauled by a local guy. I bought the clock on ebay. Could not find anybody to make a mirror with the round area not silvered.

So I purchased a reproduction mirror off ebay and I think it was for a model A ford. Worked perfectly !!! I think the glass has an indent top and bottom for the bracket that holds the clock.

Hi fellow Canadian
I have an original Phinney-Walker Mirror Clock with the Bow Tie which is a genuine Chevrolet accessory for my 1932 special sedan. On Hemmings there is a ad for resilvering auto mirrors with clock." CLIFF'S CLASSIC CHEVROLET PARTS in PORTLAND OR". I still waite for exact measurements and details for mine.
Thank you very much.

Henri
