Did anyone see the watch one ebay that was a Chevrolet Sales Quota Award from 1931? It was awarded to salesmen who met their quota of '31 automobiles. It had the salesman's name and the year engraved on the back. I tried to bid until at the end the price jumped real quick. It didn't work and was missing a 2nd hand but still sold for $132. I thought it would have been really cool to go with my car. Ah well.

There's also one for sale that's a '29 watch. It's shaped like the grille of the car. The price on it is absolutely ridiculous.

That is not a 29 watch, but is the 1927 quota watch. The price is in the "ball park" for an excellent example of that watch.

Keep your eye on the G&D as the SURPRISE series will feature watches in some upcoming issues.

The 31 watch price was also in the "ball park".

I picked up a 1930 sales presentation Waltham watch in great working condition a few years ago. Not sure what I paid but it wasn't more than $50. it's a neat item. The car has been done for a while so I started collecting the sales and promotional stuff.

The price of the 1927 Quota Watch is well within the ball park. I have seen lots of them sell over the years and most bring big bucks.

YES! And save your money for one of those. If you intend to buy one, don't do so until you have it in your hand for inspection. You will look for wheels and struts and the body for extreme cracking as it is potmetal. They can easily go over 1G.

Watch for it in the SURPRISE series.

Got an original 1927 sales quota radiator cap in my collection.

By the way, you can order a reproduction quota radiator cap from the Filling Station for $650!

That's right, it was a '27! That watch would be really cool, especially with the guys name on the back. Oh well, I'll settle with just getting my car going again. Hopefully soon.

that's one of the better prices-there's a dash clock on there now for $500 and you have to shake it to make it run-don't know much about actual clock options but love the one in the mirror
