I just got a service manual on 490s-Superior G FA FB T 1918 -1924. It was an old reprint from Crank and Hope publications. I can really go to town on the ol 490 now! It covers everything including not just showing updated things like the hand brake type brake adjustments but the earlier type. It also covers the lifter locks and shows how to tighten them up so they stay quiet. It even shows how to make special tools simply. It even shows a lot about the FB type engine which is also used in my Oldsmobile truck. I am exited! Highly recommend this one for us 490 guys!
