I have a chevy 2dr bel air sedan, I had to replace another door for the driver's side. I went to a wrecking yard and found one. I didn't realize that there wasn't a notched stud to attach my door handle on to it on the inside. It has the vent window and one to roll up the door window. I asked this question before and someone sent me a picture of one that I have already from my manual. Should I have taken out the inners from the one that was on? If that is the case, I already disposed of my other door that was on it. I don't know how to put a photo in here of my door, can someone help me out? Then I can show it to someone who might know. They told me there should of been a punch out for it??

Thanks, I need to take the door panel off, wanted to do that anyways. If that's the case, I wish I would of saved my other door. My body guy from high school days, threw away my orignal door. I guess he didn't notice my door without the handle when he helped me put it on. And then, how do you install the mechanism in between where the window goes? I see an open panel about 6x6 inches square. Puzzling to me. I only wish I would of known to look to see if it was a remote control door opener without its guts.
