I was doing some archiving and came across a member wanting to put Fenton headers for dual exhaust on his 51 Chevy and someone said that if you go to your local Ford tractor farm dealership, you could purchase some Ford tractor mufflers. Said they would sound good on your Chevy and cheaper than purchasing Fentons. Does this come to mind?

installing fentons on a 51 will require a visit to the local garage/muffler shop that has a tubing bender as the header pipes and tailpipes will need to be custom made. once the car is up on a lift, the muffler shop should have in stock a pair of mufflers that will insert between the header pipes and the tailpipes. mike

Thanks Mike, but I was wondering if a set of Ford tractor headers would fit on my 235 six '58 Chevy motor. I was reading something from archives of someone else suggesting that instead of purchasing Fentons, could reduce the cost by putting Ford tractor headers on his '51 Chevy. This was a couple years ago. I read that they would fit on 289 Ford motor, I believe.
