Getting the 'ol Gall Bladder removed tomorrow bright & early. Had a severe attack Saturday morning that left me thinking I was having a heart attack. After spending some time in the ER a diagnosis was made. I was basically in the fetal position for two days & they said once it happens it can happen again so it's time to shed a body part. I should be home tomorrow sometime so ya'all won't be rid of me for too long. curse

been there done that. they even took the easter eggs i put out and couldn't find anymore!!!!!!
took me 3 months and i was back to normal.
don't try to rush it. they did me the old fashioned way. bout a 17 inch scar. understand today they do it with the magic wand and the healing is a lot quicker.
best of luck, i will try to leave you some easter eggs!!!!!!! bigl

Wishing you a speedy recovery. I am the only one in my family with mine still inside! Sometimes people don't realize that they were not feeling up to parr for a long time and are surprised how well they feel after.

Tiny,
I hope by the time you read this, you are back home and doing fine!
I guess the only body part I am missing is my mind.....Wife says I never had one.

Tiny,
Welcome back and I hope everything went well and that you are recovering nicely. Had mine out two years ago. Look like I'd been shot three times with a 22. Piece-a-cake.
Best,

Good Luck
A year ago today I had a foot and a half of my colon removed along with the gall bladder and appendix. Can't say that I miss any of them.

Praying for a fast recovery. Don't rush getting back any faster than you think is prudent. We can substitute for you here for a short while.

Thanks for all the good vibes my friends.

Update: Just got home from the horspistal and arrived home a lessor man. I got the great pleasure of spending the night for observation because there was an issue discovered during the surgery. It seems the gall bladder was dead and in the process of decaying in my gut, gangrene had set in. It was so decayed that it came out in tiny pieces. What was left, that's normally stitched up to close the bile duct, was like trying to stitch damp tissue paper. So now I have several clips on the inside and a bota bag drain taped to the outside of my abdomen with the hose running into the interior. It started out yesterday with the drain getting full (about 200CCs) and being emptied every two hours right after surgery. It's down now to about 20CCs when it's emptied, about every 4 hours or so. IF everything goes right & it dries up by the Tuesday follow up it'll be removed and all is well. If it's still draining it's off to see another doctor for some special procedure involving an already existing orifice. laugh I'm going to be spending a LOT of time at home for the next few days. laugh
