Has anyone recently purchased a kit from Hampton Coach? I am interested in how well the kits match the originals and their degree of quality.

Hey Bill,

My Dad bought ours from them in 91, and it was really nice and very close to the original. They didn't supply enough buttons at the time, but that was an easy fix's.

Now reading something that Chip and Skipper were talking about a couple of week ago in the 32 area it sounds like there quality might of changed some over the last 10 years.

Also did you get my e-mail? I've been having problem with the e-mail at home for the last couple of weeks. Service come and goes!

Give me a call if you would like to talk more. If I'm not home just ask for Dad (Same name) he put the kit together, not in the car yet.

I put a Hampton Coach interior in my '34 about 20 years ago.It was easy to install due to the wood body structure and looks good to this day. They had several color choices at that time and I picked the one closest to the original.Hope that they haven't screwed up as they had a great product.

I am just now finishing a complete Hampton Coach interior in my 31 Coach. I think the quality is acceptable for the price I paid. To get the exact match of mohair would be very cost prohibitive. What they supply is a close match, but a little thicker. The overall quality of the fit is great and they supply everything (tacks, thread, needle, hog rings and pliers). Overall I'd rate it an A. The negatives are the instructions were pretty crude and in places incorrect for my year and model, and a little skimpy on the material for the seat seams. Hope this helps you. :) chevy
