Now that I have the doors on my 35 Coupe hung, I need to do some major adjustments to get them to fit into the body openings. Can anyone tell me where I can find some detailed info on exactly how to go about this?
I'm at a loss as there are no adjustments on the hinges (at least none of the usual ones that a person would hope for!).
All I know is that it apparently has a lot to do with shimming the body mounts -- but where do I start, and where would I shim to raise the back of the door ... etc?
Any info would be very much appreciated.
Many thanks for any leads you can provide.

I just got done looking at the technical info in the resources area of this site. There, they have a section on aligining your doors. Depending on your body style, you will adjust certain body bolts, which they list as body bolt #1,2,3,4,etc. Then adding shims depending on your exact situation. It seems like a great place to start. You do need to be a member to access that area. Good Luck. Maudslay33

There are also detailed instructions printed in the Chevrolet Service News, July 1935 edition. Includes how to shim behind the hinges to align doors.
