Need to recover the sunvisers on 47 Convertible. They look like they are pop rivited on. The fittings look to be pot metal and am looking for some advice on how to handle recovering safely.
Also does anyone have a soure for premade Convertible Boot covers?
Am almost complete with interior redo. Amazing that the orginal seat covers where underneath the one that had been put on somewhere along the way. Got an exact match. Other need is to rechrome the plastic on the Clock and speedometer. Any Suggestions?

Moe, I am not sure about all of your needs, but yesterday I read the newest Hemming's and there were ad's for both Interior Products and a few "Chrome" shops that do plastic.
I think I have seen {in case you need them} Sun Visor's parts/products on The Filling Station's web site. If not there chevsofthe40's may have what you need.

What plastic parts are you thinking of chrome plating?

If you're talking about the outside trim rings on the clock and speedometer, they're metal, not plastic. I don't know of any plastic on the 47/48 convertibles that would be chromed.

As for the top boot, Hampton Coach (which is now part of LeBaron Bonney) sells a top boot and bag. In 2009, they wanted $433.00 for those items.
