I saw another poster comment on sending out some parts for plating...I too am in the market to have my front and rear bumpers re-chromed...anyone here have a good experience(s) with a reputable company...Would love to find a place here FL, but would be willing to send them off if needed...I would like 'my' bumpers back..as they were an option in 30..So would prefer not to do an exchange deal..I'd wait for mine to be done.. Also what can I expect to pay for this???Wonder if it is better to buy new?? Thanks in advance...

I've used Nu-Chrome in Fall River MA, for my car and my bike. Great quality, but be prepared to wait.

Please go to Google and put in "nu-chrome". Then scan down to Members reviews (about 6 items down). Spend a few minutes reading the reviews before using Nu-Chrome. I am amazed that they are still in business.

About 1 month out unless your in a hurry and he will work it in sooner. He has had several cars thatgo to Baritr Jackson.. I had the 2 bar bumperets and the 2 bar front and it was about $400. He fix the bent ones and every thing I was very very pleased, but now Iam broke Roger

My research took me to Advance Plating in Erie, Pa. I'll be giving them some stuff soon on good faith for the quality I expect. Al W.

I used a company in Houston Tx. called Superior Chrome Plating to do my '31 chroming. E-mail them what you what chromed & they will tell you what your your $ will be.Yes you have to mail your items to them & getting them back quickly depends on how much work they have that would in front of your stuff. I think my stuff took about a month

I would like 'my' bumpers back..as they were an option in 30.. Bumpers were not an option in 1930...they were an accessory item.

I used Dan's Polishing in Adamsville, TN for most of the chrome on my '31. They were slow, but did a very good job. The one item I was concerned about, they redid in a couple hours while I went to lunch. I thought their price was comparable. Sid

i used nu-chrome for some of my 30 parts. that was before i found the members review forum. i have to say my parts came out great and they still look great. but if i read the reviews before i sent them my parts. i wouldn`t have used them. they told me about 4 to 8 weeks but they took over 12 weeks. i was worried sick about my parts. thought i`d never see them again. but all and all i had no problem with nu-chrome.

Try D-G Chrome Plating in Cincinnati. Beautiful work. They say it will take 8 weeks, and it does. Their website explains the process, has prices, etc.

Has anyone used Sandy's Bumper Mart in Syracuse, NY? Their prices are lower than other estimates I've gotten from other chromers, but want to know about their quality. Thanks.
