on my 54 ht the front seat tops i can not tell what adjust the forward and backward position are there rubber bumpers adjustable pads or what . not very good info in repair manual or parts book thank you ,

See parts book. Group 11.381....part numbers 4637784 which is a one hole type and #464616 which is a two hole type. Four of each are used - there must have been an early and late style.
