This is a nice looking 41 coupe on eBay. drool

Steve and all the rest of you 38 owners should consider this item as a step up the ladder of achievement and excellence. With it you may be able to pick up some church-going chicks newangel instead of having to drive the back streets and negioiate price before you can get any "lady" to crawl into those lowly rides you have now. luv2

So, unload those running boarded, Fulton visored, problem laden old 38s hood and go for this beauty! Join the elite, upper class. Why guzzle with beer bellied underlings beermugs when you could mingle and show off your pinkie whilst toasting with the champaghne class? Hmmm? croc

Take that Ed.

Appears to be Harold Pellini's "old" 41 coupe. Would be a nice piece of history to own.

Of course, special thanks to Charlie for once again reminding all of us..... oh forget it!!!

Thats about as good of a 1941 that you will ever find...all it needs is a set of the correct plug wires.
I would bet the reserve is over $30,000

I agree. dance

Seems the skirts, without the spacer between the rocker moldings and the skirt moldings, don't do a lot for it. Same with those 41 discs. Although correct, they just don't look as nice as the shark tooth ones. (I'm just nitpicking here)

It'll be interesting to see where it goes. I have my doubts it'll make reserve.

WOW, what a beautiful car !!

Especially since it's an "unmolested" original, unbelievable!
I love it, from the Wheel covers to the Skirts to the interior.

It does have a tall price, but what other 41's compare to it's condition and are UNMOLESTED. It will be interesting to see what it sells for. I for one hope he gets every penny he's asking.

Question; Is the {chrome} Tail Pipe Extension correct ?
The 41 accessory catalog shows a different one}

There's another 41 that's as nice. It's a Dark Blue, Special Deluxe Business Coupe. I got to see it in Colorado at the last anniversary event. I have pics and it was "perfect." I believe it had a full restoration, The owner said there were very few Special Deluxe Business coupe’s. So it ”˜s rare car {?}.

Keep us posted Charlie...
Enjoy,

Charlie....I had a 41 just like the one on ebay, only with out the skirts in 1958 (honest) I was the 2nd owner, I paid $200 bucks for it. My girlfriend at that time dumped me for a guy with a red 56 T Bird. That's when I found out cruising the back streets was better, beer was cheaper than Champagne and 41 owners were not considered part of the ELITE. From that day on instead of trying to show my "Pinkie Finger" to the so called Elite I now just show them my Middle Finger.

BTW....Who wants "Church going chicks" anyway???
BTW-2 I thought the "pinkie Finger" thing was just for "HIGH TEA".....ED

I was only wrong one time in my life so far. But that time I was right, and only thought I was wrong....ED

Charlie,

Beautiful car....EVEN IF IT IS A 41, but I think a nice FULTON VISOR would really set it off! devil

A Fulton visor and fender skirts? Man, on a '41 it just doesn't get any better than that!!

That is one great looking '41 Chevy and I think the fender skirts really adds to the looks of the whole car making it even more beautiful.

I don't know about Ed, but this old dog likes Fulton visors. A Fulton visor is the only way to go. Yep!

yay I think a visor would look great but only if it was accompanied by an original (or good repop) fox tail on the antenna. Beamer

Ed&JD,
This is my last(?) word on the issue of a-sticking a Fulton on an nice 41 or any other year Chevrolet but especially a 41 coupe. Well, in the instant matter at least.

You see, it's always been my opinion that the Fulton's, et al, are nothing more than a clever, if misguided, piece of engineering to help avoid the sun from coming in the cabin and annoying the occupants. Especially if the internal sunshades didn't do a real good job. Perhaps they were invented for the out-west crowd who had a bright sun most days. Ever seen a cloud over Tombstone, AZ. tooth

Nonetheless, some of the gadgets must have creeped out of that hot, hot, place where the OK" used car lot was first started. Used to be called a corral. Had a shoot-out there. Now Chevies get shot up. dance

They (visors) later migrated to Texas where those chili eating Texans needed some cooling down after consuming a heap of the stuff in a chili cook-off. drool It's been said that they make chili there with half the ingredients being a tomato and beef sauce and the other half consisting of ground hibinaros (sp) seeds. devildance It helped when the folks traveled back home to have all the shade they could get with them a already a-sweating and all from the chili. carbana

Then some good old boys went down there to TX looking for a mule egg, saw the visors and introduced them to TN folk who really didn't need them at all. You see in the hills the sun doesn't actually hit hollow floor except between 11:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M or there abouts. But they caught on anyway cause folk liked. them because they hid the hillsides. They didn't have to see the other hillbillies (see "kissin' cousin" luv2 and "inherited defects") who were always a-waving at them to pull in and come on up to their appliance laden front porch and sit a spell, pass the jug, rub ol' blue. share some tobaccie, swap tales of moonshinin' and 'coon hunting and do some "Dueling Banjo" pickin (see Deliverance'). rockband A real nuisance when you're out for a quiet Sunday drive. You know?

So from there they became a statement of the less informed and rather "In yo face", low-rider, high-rider, non-standard equipped car crowd. Not a bad thing. Just not for me. What I'm saying is that, while you'll never see a Fulton at the Pebble Beach pipe concours meet, you'll find them plentiful in southern California and any ethnic, street-rod event. hood You get the picture, here? Beer and tequila never trumps Champagne.

So if y-all want those things stuck up there as fashion statement or an ad for your independent thinking, e.g. "don't tell me what looks nice", "I went to art school in kindergarten and learned to colored inside the lines" mentality, then be my guest. I don't have a dog in the fight. And, I like you anyway. dance

But for me, I have more respect for the car and the engineers who designed it without one, to ever think that they do anything for the car. To each his own. So, out of respect for you, you'll never catch me a-smiling when I see one even though I may be a-thinking y-all a little "tetched" in the head (see "cousins" above). You know.

Disclaimer: The above was written in jest. Don't none of you take offense to none of it and especially the kissin' cousin thing because none is intended. Do your family tree and some of us will be amazed how soon the lines cross. Especially, if your families are from the same neck of the woods. It's only a few generations for Carol and me. luv2 I found out too late. Dang!

I feel that I must stick up for Charlie. Well maybe not since I am sure he will break his self imposed silence on the subject. Any way I think that sun visors make a car look silly especially when sitting in the drivers seat. It is tough enough to see those overhead signal lights but when you install one of those "emulating a cave visors" nearly impossible without hanging you head out the window so a passing truck can take it off. If you think you look goofy you do.

So then.....does that mean that you have removed the outside sunvisors on all of your 1931 closed cars? bigl

Don't have any '31 closed cars with visors. And the '31 trucks don't have visors either as one is an open cab Fire Truck and the other a roadster pickup.

auto I had a '49 Olds with an exterior sunvisor that was mostly plastic. Only the ends and a section in the middle were metal. The plastic was a medium blue and I could see traffic signals through it. I obviously couldn't see red/yellow/green but I could tell which light was lit. I could tell red/yellow/green after I hit a hawk and it went up through the plastic! Beamer

I think Gene is right about the reserve on the 41 coupe. The surprising thing is that the 41 convertible didn't garner as much attention (read bids). I would have it would have reached the 35-40K mark or at least more than the coupe. dance
I can't understand it.

Anyway, on the convertible I noticed that the inside top bows are painted the same color as the inside of the top (tan/tan). Are the bows supposed to painted the same color as the inside top? Mine are black and that's what I was going back with but now I don't know. You know, tan inside and black bows. Hep me. Somebody.

I was interested to see that these cars have the same fender skirts as the '42. That I am in the process of finishing up and hope to have on the road by May.
