I received my first VCCA magazine, I'm very impressed with the content and quality of the articles.
I have a 1927 engine looking for a chassis and body. One picture shows a 1927 "something" in Alberta (I'm assuming Canada not a small town in Kansas)under a pile of snow with a few other cars in the background. Is there any way to find out the location and owner of that vehicle?? Would like to see a few pic's without the snow and see if it's salvageable for my engine and trans's.
Thanks ron

There may be a 27 or 28 being parted out and the guy is selling an engine trans and rear end on ebay. Search either 27 or 28 Chevrolet. Looks like he is building a hotrod out of the body.
28 Chevy LO Capitol 1 ton, 28 National 2 dr coach, 71 Chevy Custom Camper 3/4 ton. Also 23 Oldsmobile Economy truck and a 24 Olds sport touring.

I have seen several people looking for a good engine, but you are the first one I have seen looking for a frame and body. You are in a good place to find a car for restoration where you are. Some snooping around in newspapers, craigslist, nickel ads and such should produce a complete or nearly complete car for restoration. You have a good idea, just stay with it.

If you feel like taking a road trip to the SF Bay area in CA, I have a spare 1927 Chevy 1 ton truck chassis (striped and painted - no axles) and four correct fenders left over from a truck that I parted out. $400 for all, but you must pick it up. ;-)
Cheers, Dean

There are several 27's for sale on this site, stored outside and presume wood gone. http://www.reginaantiqueauto.ca/For%20Sale/lens_auto.htmI also know of a complete 27 engine stored in a garage.
