Hi, could anyone tell me where I could find running boards for a 1928 National 4 door sedan? I am told there are places you can buy them new but I can`t seem to find any. Thanks

The only new I have seen is just a rubber cover for the steel running board. The original was moulded to the steel.

28 Chevy LO Capitol 1 ton, 28 National 2 dr coach, 71 Chevy Custom Camper 3/4 ton. Also 23 Oldsmobile Economy truck and a 24 Olds sport touring.

Hi,

I bought reproduction running boards for my 28 tourer from Peter Jackson replacement panels here in OZ, but thats too far for you, and they are for a Holden Body anyway. Have you tried the Filling Station, or for second hand ones Gary Wallace.

Good Luck

Ray

Some say "Street is neat". I prefer "1928 is great"

I have documented my 45 years with a 1928 Chev Tourer, from 1973 to 2018, and regulary add other items that I hope are of interest to others. Your comments are most welcome. The story of the Red Chev can be viewed at http://my28chev.blogspot.com/

Thanks Ray,

I looked at Gary Wallace. Seems like they have a good inventory of parts. I just might have found what I am looking for. The price seems a bit hight but what can you do.

Exactly where in Canada are you. I have a pair that I would sell. However you would have to pick them up I wouldn't ship them.

I am close to Ottawa. Probably less expesive to ship them then to travel to go get them. How much are you asking for them? I would provide pre-paid shipping.

thanks
