I bought a '47 Fleetmaster...Unaware of that thing called Vacuum Power Shift (I've always owned trucks!)What I have is a Three on the Tree..linked directly to the tranny and that's it! Did all '47's come with Vacuum Assist? Am I missing out on any fun ? Shift's just fine...Why would someone remove it ? Otherwise this Sport Coupe appears to be 99.9% original...

It has been removed. There was an after market sold years ago to permit its removal. Just be glad it shifts OK.

Gear Shift Conversion Kit is what I've got! And now I know where to adjust it,too. Should it ever need it. Gene and Ken, thanks so much for the help...and the photos!!! You Guys are Great!!

Anyone got the parts for one of these systems hanging around? Looks like I may have the piece to the transmission on a trans that came with the car.
