I needed a new oil pan drain plug because the hex on mine was all rounded and useless. I found that NAPA has the plugs for $2.00 including the gasket. The plug size is 1/2-20 (1/2 inch diameter and 20 threads per inch). This same plug will probably fit other years beyond 1951. Don Hampton.

The drain plug is one of a few Chevrolet parts that span 50+ years of Chevys. 7/16"-20 lug nuts are another. At one time I was going to put together a list of the parts used for the most years but ran out of time.

A 1931 Clutch Plate will fit a VEGA also.

Mr. Mack. I don't know. I was changing the clutch for our daughter-in-law. She had purchased a new coutch. When I got it apart it looked like a 31 clutch. I had about a dozen used 31 clutch plates. I used one of the old ones and asked her to take the new one back for a refund. I have never tried to go the other way.

One time on a Glidden tour a friend lost his clutch on a 29 Packard. He got a new clutch plate at a tow-motor repair facility and was on the road the next day.

I made several by cutting the threads off a 1/2-20 bolt and scew a jam nut on and weld the end. Grind weld flush and bingo.
