I am working on my 28 wood roof ,I went to install my side roof rail cover panels and noticed that they are longer than what came on the coach model, the ones I have are 73 3/4" long and over lap the back roof panel. What should be the right length for the 1928 Chevy National AB Coach side roof panels???

I just measured one of the metal side panels on my '28 Coach at 68 1/2" long.

Thank's Chipper Looking through the body repair manual it show's an over lap with a soldered weld to attatch to rear roof panel, is this for the 1929 and up models?? or?? The panel's that I have ,has a nail edge at this spot with no over lap, is this correct??? and then trimed out with the lead body trim to finish?

The panel is nailed. The edges are covered with top material and welting or drip molding depending which edge.

Hey Chipper When you measured, was that on the nailed edge towards the inside of the roof, or on the curved side(door side)??? could ya give both measurement's for both nailed edges from the nailed front edge? Thanks
