I have a 57 235 in my 37 p/u and from the looks of the intake the 57 motor sat lower in the rear but now that its in the 37 the carb leans to the front, I found a 54 intake in a local junkyard that looks like it will let the carb sit level so will a 54 intake fit a 57 motor.

The intakes from the 1950 throughh 1962 will all fit on those years of 235 engines. The 1959-1962 intke was slightly revised to bring the carburetor down lower. As far as "fitting" the engine they arre all the same. Starting in 1940 all the intakes were designed to compensate for the rear of the engine setting lower.
