I am trying to figure out the paint color for my 1927 touring car. The car was a canadian car (not sure if that matters). There were signs of a medium blue on the cowl and doors, which seemed to be original. The evidence was wiped out many years ago so I can't even try and match that.
Years ago (in the 70's) I saw a restored 1927 touring that was the same blue, so I believe that was the original color. The car was part of the now defunct Craven A foundation's collection of cars (from Ontario). I have a post card of it somewhere.

Anyone able to help?

Thanks for the reply. I found the same info on the autocolors.com website with exception of the windshield frame color. In 1928 they also had Yorktown Green Color on the touring and roadster. There are paint codes available for 1928 and up using the IM system. Yorktown Green is IM-715. There is a spot on the autocolors.com website that shows all the IM colors for all makes combined. But I am still trying to figure out if the blue is original? were the colors on the canadian cars different? In all my internet seaches, I have only seem one painted gray in color.

The gray is very bland, and I can't see myself painting the car that color even if it is correct. So I may end up picking a blue from one of the other body styles and using that. Anyone else have any input on colors?

I'm of the opinion that it is your car and you should paint it some color that is pleasing to you. Your pleasure is more important than a trophy.

Hi.
My 1927 Touring is green with black fenders, I do not know the code of the green. The car was manufactured in Brazil, Sau Paulo and imported to Sweden in the mid sixties by the missionary how had it in Brazil. I can not find any evidence that the car has been repainted, the paint is in rather good condition so for now I will not restore the body.

Regards
Olle
